What a great coast we have, from cumberland to savannah, red fish tarpon jacks spanish ladyfish, you name it we have it thiss time of year and they all take flies. The past couple of nights have nice in the grass with the reds tailing nice. We have a.m. tailiing tides this week!!
Waiting for this ocean to settle down so I can go chase tarpon, I’ll keep ya posted. Need my camera back! the past fe nights would have made some great pics. Soon.
Fly Fish Savannah
This tarpon thing has me good, and the frustration that goes with it. One day My cutomer and I go 1 for three the next day we just get a couple of shots at some spotty rollers. Red fish bite is going well. There are plenty of shrimp on the flats and the reds trout and flounder are taking advantage of this. Sorry no pics of poons or reds, camera went awol on me and needs repair. Remember when hiring a guide in the savannah area, just because he is on a sponsored fly fishing link dosn’t mean he can fly fish. One such guide on sponsored links for fly fishing has been fishing the same spot everyday! I see him on all my tarpon patrols. Camera will be back soon I hope and we can get some pics of these tarpon!!
