As far as the reds go nothing has changed, still plenty of fish tailing on the hgh water and nice shots at low water.  Cobia are around, the Broad seems to be a bit congested and I havn’t heard of many cobia being sight casted to.  The beach fronts are hosting plent of lady fish, spanish, and smaller Jacks.  Fun topwater action with poppers.  Been talking to a few folks around town  that havn’t even caught a trout this year.  These are guys who know how to fish,  we need to practice as much catch and release on these larger fish to help a comeback.  Let’s hope the bait soakers don’t kill the rest of them.  This will put more pressure on our reds, hopefully the powers at be will pull their heads out of their ASS and put together a proper fisheries managment plan for the state of Georgia. Take the fisheries managment out of the politicians hand and put in DNR’s.  Lord knows I havn’t met a politician that knows what their doing.

Sometimes nature can really humble you.  I had just told my customer we wouldn’t need bug juice due to the wind that was blowing around twenty.  A little shower came thru, the wind dies and the bugs found us!! After splashing some juice on us we were back at it.  The tails were up and splasing,  Let the games begin!  Tailing reds can be tough especially when ya have a big tide pushing a ton of current.  This keeps the fish moving  bit more, as if they weren’t ereatic enough.  We did manage one nice 32 inch fish and had another eat that we missed, and no shortage of shots.
