As I may have said before this spring has had some shifting in the weather and the fish are shifting with it. The reds have been cracking really good on low and high water, then a front swings and your sitting there going what the f$#&. A couple of weeks ago we had a front swing and it was 53 degrees leaving the dock. I don’t recall it ever being that cool on Memorial day weekend. Since that front though it seems as though things are settling down a bit and the fish are reacting. We have had some good triple tail action going on the past few days with some pigs floating around the area. The cobia are still here but ya need to put the time in. Tarpon will be the next t start showing and I can’t wait !! Had some good spin sight casting the other day, I don’t to many folks ready to sight cast with spin but when I do it’s fun to watch. I get a kick out of watching a spin fisherman that’s good, putting the lure right where it needs to be first cast ! Shallow water fishing is not just a fly fishing event.
