The fish are playing the game almost everyday this time of year.  I had a Magazine writer in town this past week and wouldn’t ya know the wind came up around 20 with clouds on Wed.  Dang it!  Thur. we had the sun at least ,and found the some nice trout on the fly ! As the tide came down the wind was still cranking but we could see the fish well on Thur.  Despite the 20mph winds we managed 4 nice reds on fly !  Thur. afternoon kicked my ass unlike any day in my 14 years of guiding!!  I have some great pics and will post them soon.  The trout bite continues to be good, although in some areas that were holding good size fish are now holding plenty of shorts.  Bait guys are culling the nice size fish fast.  If anyone has some pics of fish they have caught on recent trips send them my way with a bit of a description and I will post your story.  Fresh or Salt

I have been fishing the Georgia and South Carolina Coast for 30 years and guiding full time for 20 plus years. What you will get from me is a quality fishing trip, whether with fly rod or spinning tackle that is always a long time on the water for the rate. My half days run more like 5-6 hours and full days are over 8 hours. 4 hours on a half day just isn't long enough to fish. What you will not get from me is a quick trip to spots 5 minutes away that are fished heavily so can make it back to the dock in time for my next trip. I have guided through out the southeast as well as Alaska and the Bahamas. I have been instrumental in developing shallow water sight casting in Georgia and South Carolina and have been the first to introduce Tarpon fishing on fly rod to South Carolina and Georgia!!
