We have also been having a bit of a striper bite, seems as though there is enough bait around to hold a few for the winter. Â Just have to get the right tide for these guys it seems. Â Although not big they are some kinda fun when on top popping mullet.
I love some deep winter fishing, Â the water is clear not as many folks on the water and the fish are hungry. Â What’s best of all Pickney Island is surrounded with big schools of fish. I have been really diggin the trout bite, Â working DOA’s slow and deep have been producing some nice specks. Â Any chance I get to go trout fishing with a customer I get jacked. Seems most boats these days are after reds at low water. Â Head out on the high tide and trout fish and no problem with boats and your catching not chasing fish.
