so many fish under dem dar birds sooo shallow

Fishing Yesterday was very neat O, saw so many fish in such shallow water, with a out going I had to stay very aware of my deep water exits.  Deep water meaning 4-6 inches.  Caught a few nice reds even though the wind came up to 15 plus.  Also saw 4 reds in the shallows 25lbs plus pushing wakes like a sport fishing boat.  Just couldn’t pole fast enough to get a good shot at them,  very exciting none the lease.  I love Pickney Island !!!  The trout bite continues to be good as well, went the other night with a good friend of mine, can’t say we caught hundreds, but fished some new areas out of the wind and did Fairly well and sme decent ones for the dinner table that night.

It seems as though our salt water has turned to fresh water, but that doesn’t seem to bother the fish a bit.  We have finally put some of the nasty weather behind us for now and actually had a few glassy days !  That is something we have not had much of this year.  Reds are doing it on the low and high water the tarpon are around, but I haven’t seen great numbers, but I have had some reports of fish being caught last week to the south 0f us.  The best time to look for poon is when it gets glassy, but that is also the best time to hit the reds, dang it man !
