There is no better time of the year to fish, reds, Triple Tail, Big Jacks, Tarpon, allbies, you name it and it’s in the water. Â This years tarpon season has been a bit off but not dead. Â In comparison to the past few years the majority of the fish have been holding in deeper water making fly fishing for them a little more difficult, but the mullet run has begun and things are changing up a bit as I type. Â The reds are tailing well, and big jacks are ready to destroy poppers !!

We are now into my favorite time of the year to fish, tarpon Jacks and reds are in the game and hungry. Â The tarpon bite continues in the Beaufort Hilton Head area, Â Clear water and plenty of fish are making for a good season thus far !! Â Reds are tailing on the high tides and the shrimp are getting larger thus enticing the reds on the outgoing tides to go a little bonkers !
