Trout in 8 " of water

Yesterday was one of those days ya just don’t know what the hell is about to happen.  We had some tarpon to start the morning off, but the fish would not stay in one place to well.  They would roll up and then be on the other side of the  basin.  I would work my way there and they would be  at another area. F$#^ers.  Off to some reds.  The wind clouds and rain were making the low tide a bit tough but we did manage a red and a trout that was in 8″ of water. We decided to get out of the rain and get some lunch than bust’m up in the grass.  Bust’m up we did, there were armies of reds marching in with the tide. The Teeing off began.  Branden and his son Austin started to get into some fun!!

Good Goosh!!  Ihave been guiding for 12 years full time and poling the low country now for twenty and I have never had a day like this.  Long time customer Bob Sewell and I headed out to look for some tailers and That’s what we found.  We had 6 fish 4 of witch were 30-32 inch’s and had a couple come unbutton.  Lots of big fish and a good number of smaller fish tailing as well.  This flat was doing it!  On a tarpon note.  Did some solo fishing yesterday and,  I found a good number of fish in 2 spots, just didn’t get any eats.  f#*@#*% Tarpon
